Cassie I believe is here name, has no right working in this industry. When your dog goes missing and you call her direct line to say “I hear you have my dog” she immediately becomes argumentative, rude, starts making accusations about the care you provide for your recently adopted dog. MY dog is very skinny, I feed her multiple times per day, she goes to the vet and is in good hands. She got away and the people that found her unfortunately called this place. They told me my address wasn’t real, I hadn’t taken my dog to the vet even after showing the vet bill, they vaccinated her which sure whatever, but it shouldn’t be this hard to get MY dog back. I assured them multiple times I feed her and am in the process of multiple vet visits to get her plump. After my experience and reading others reviews I am flabbergasted this place is able to still be open. I hope no other animal has to endure that dump! They must be paying for 5 star reviews.

My daughter's cat was outside her place. The cat does not leave the area only to go near door to see the people that live there. My daughter took her cat over to see they one time. He came home hurt so my daughter fixed it foot called the vet. Her cat the fast thing he is got back out. Was with the people that live in the apartment under her. She put her son up in his playpen came back to get her cat and they said he took off. That would not happen. We believe they took her cat they are mad at her because they been told they have to move. (nothing to do with my daughter) I sent Hillside a post my daughter put on Facebook. They called her she missed the call when she seen that the call she called them and left a message. They told her it was going to cost 400 dollars to get her cat back. She told them she wait pet aid to get back to her and she will come get her cat. They told her she had until Wednesday to call them. She called them that Wednesday they told her they adopted her cat out. This made my daughter so stressed out it put her into labor two weeks before her son was due. Her cat was a Main Coon they did not even wait for her the gave it to someone else. I would never trust them with any animal they need to have there rights taken away for being animal control. I am call the police over this because everyone on the streets has cameras. Everyone knew he was not daughter cat. My daughter has to tell my granddaughter that her cat is gone because someone stole it.

Hillside came to my property and picked my cat up. They gave some bs story saying he was being chased by a coyotes so they picked him up. She drives by my house almost everyday knowing this is where the cat belongs and still picked him up and charged me 135$. Also her driving is absolutely ridiculous speeds down our road daily.

These people are as shady as they come. They stole my sons dog off his property yesterday in Brantford. He got home yesterday and found that his dog was missing. They even took the time to nicely take the tag off her collar that had my sons info on it, and throw it in his backyard. We found out Hillside had her, tried calling and messaging (took forever to get a response). They extorted him to get her back. Charged him almost $400. Tried to get him to pay cash. They claimed that in less than 12 hours they had vaccinated her (she is already up to date on her shots). This place is a scam and they are thieves. This place needs to be investigated and shut down. Everyone, please keep an eye on your pets if you let them outside. And be aware of who is watching your property.

My missing dog turned up here after someone stole her the crazy thing is she's chipped but they never checked, then when we tried to get her back they tried to charge us almost $400 for housing her but if they just checked her chip we would have been here sooner they are a shady high kill shelter

We were enquiring about a few of the dogs in their care. We have 4 cats who are dog savvy. Cassia recommended we meet Lillie an Australian shepherd cross. We have another dog and Cassia insisted the two dogs meet to be sure they would be compatible. Lillie was receiving positive reinforcement and encouragement from Cassia and was clearly fond of her. We adopted Lillie 2 1/2 weeks ago now. The process with adoption was seamless. Thank you Cassia for letting us know all the positive and negatives of the dogs we had enquired about and helping find the right fit for the dog and our family. Lillie was a great fit for our older dog (she is playing like a pup again) and an awesome addition to our household. PLEASE check out the dogs at Hillside. There are many amazing dogs looking for their forever home. The adoption fee is a fraction of what you would pay for a spay/neuter/vaccinations at your local vet. Please remember pets need positive training, kindness, regular guidance and consistency from their people. You put in the effort and you will reap the rewards ? thank you Hillside Kennels Animal Control.

My dear friend, had to return a dog this morning because it attacked a smaller dog. The dog might be losing their life and the vet bills are through the roof. The Hillside kennel will not reimburse the $400 for the adoption fee. And it’s only been three days. I think It is despicable how they’re treating this family. I would think twice about dealing with this company.
